Konkan Addict -- Phase 2 ( Relive the spirit of Prachin Konkan )
In 2016 I got addicted to Konkan on my solo ride. Konkan is like a drug that gets you addicted and wants you keep coming back for more. Promised myself then, that I shall return to the lap of Konkan soon. Now in 2019 I am privileged to share this amazing journey along with few of my Hyd Brothers on the same mesmerising Ride De Konkan.
IBRMC HYD Chapter presents -- Ride de Konkan. ( June 1st - 10th )
The Konkan region is the most beautiful and God gifted land between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea at western coastline of India and known as little slice of paradise of Maharashtra.Konkan region is well famous for its long and narrow stretch of sparkling beaches with crystal blue waters and white-black sand. Tarkarli Beach of Sindhudurg,Ganpatipule Beach and Dapoli of Ratnagiri,Harihareshwar and Diveagar beach of Raigad district are the few most famous beaches of Konkan.
This ride is planned over 10 days, we will try covering most of the beach destinations that fall in our path.
Pristine beaches of Konkan, Ancient but magnificent temples and forts, exotic backwaters and mouth-watering Konkani food would surely be the highlights of this ride.

Major forts of Maharashtra are situated along with the Konkan coastline, it also includes the sea forts of Sindhudurg Fort,Janjira Fort and Vijaydurg Fort. We shall be covering few of these magnificent forts as well. Specially the Sea forts.
On this ride you will encounter innumerable beaches from the beginning of the ride. If you aint a beach person or doesn't loves the beach, if you find all beaches are similar, then this one is not for you. The weather prediction is gonna be warm. This is just before the onset of monsoons in the konkan region, so expect hot and humid climate. Keeping the monsoons in hand, there might be rainy riding days, so you might have to ride in the wet conditions. If you cannot bear such climate, or not game for such challenges, then this one is not for you. No fancy stay, or resort stay is promised on this ride. Sea food is abundantly promised.

Important Points about this ride
The ride is open for all HYD chapter riders who are active members (have met us in person).
This is a endurance ride, where riders need to clock 650 km a day, ( somedays ) so if you can do it, then please join the ride.
Cost enroute will be on actuals. Carry your own booze,Bikes to be serviced before the ride.
All other IBR rules and regulations are mandatory and all riders are expected to wear complete riding gears, a full face helmet, a riding jacket or Knee and elbow guards, gloves etc.
All riders to carry their own set of spares, Tent, Mat, Sleeping Bags, spare tubes etc.
A list of essentials will be shared later to all participants. Please don't expect anything fancy.

• Full face helmet (Both Rider & Pillion)
• Riding Jacket or Any thick jacket with elbow guards (Both Rider & Pillion)
• Riding pants or Jeans with knee guards (Both Rider & Pillion)
• Riding Gloves (Both Rider & Pillion)
• Riding Boots/High Ankle boots (NO Sports Or Casual Shoes Allowed)

• Rain Gear: Rain suit/ rain pants. (Cover for the saddle bag or wrap the clothes in a plastic cover and keep in the bag).
• Saddlebags/Tank bags (Plastics to keep things dry inside)
